Lyocell

The fiber Lyocell is produced in an ecologically sensitive process.

Locell fibers help to maintain the environmental balance by being integrated into natural cycle. The fibers originate from wood. The wood comes from natural forests and sustainably managed plantations.

The fibers are manufactured in an environmentally-responsible production process. The fibers are compostable and biodegradable and thus can fully revert back to nature. At the end of their life cycle, the fibers dissolve quickly - even in seawater.

Unlike synthetic petroleum-based fibers, they do not contribute to marine pollution.
Lyocell fibers have gained in reputation for their environmentally responsible closed loop production process which transforms wood pulp into cellulosic fibers with high resource efficiency and low ecological impact. The solvent-spinning process recycles process water and reuses the solvent at a recovery rate of more than 99%.

Lyocell is gentle on the skin
Lyocell fibers are naturally soft to the touch. The smooth surface area ensures comfort especially for sensitive skin.

Lyocell is moisture-regulating
The cellulosic fibers are structured to regulate the absorption and release of moisture, contributing to a more breathable fabric that helps support the bodys natural thermal regulation.

Lyocell is hygienic
Through moisture management, the fibers absorb moisture efficiently and this helps prevent bacteria growth. Consequently, LENZINGTM Lyocell fibers offer better hygienic qualities.
